Damani joined Glinton Sweeting O’Brien in 2018 after gaining 6 years of valuable commercial, real estate and litigation experience at two leading law firms in The Bahamas.

Damani advises clients on all aspects of commercial transactions and regulatory requirements, specialising in residential and commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, financing, and leases. His practice also includes corporate, finance, employment, immigration and probate and estate administration law. Damani is a certified arbitrator and is currently studying the ICA International Diploma in Governance Risk and Compliance.

Damani holds an LLB from the University of Buckingham and an LLM with distinction from BPP Law School in London, England, where he also attended the Bar Professional Training Course. He was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2011, and The Bahamas Bar in 2012.

Damani is an avid advocate for education, sports, the environment, and wellness. He is a member of The Bahamas National Trust and 4Ocean, and through them tries to advocate for the protection and preservation of the global and local environment. He is particularly interested in eco-sustainability and supports the use of recycled and reclaimed wood and the banning of plastic.

As a former international soccer player, Damani’s continuing love of the sport led him to coach soccer to younger athletes and educate them on the importance of both sports and health. Damani is also a regular participant in the Susan G Komen Bahamas race for the cure.
