In the aftermath of devastating Hurricane Dorian, the attorneys and staff of Glinton Sweeting O’Brien unanimously decided to turn the firm’s annual staff retreat into a team effort to extend a helping hand to those affected and the dedicated first responders. So, on Friday 6 September we closed our offices and met at Atlantis at 7am to volunteer with World Central Kitchen, the humanitarian relief organization founded by Chef José Andrés.
It was an intense experience – we were awed by the depth of the commitment of the staff and volunteers, as well as impressed by the outstanding organizational skills and program that they’ve established. Team GSO assisted the making almost 5,000 sandwiches in 6 hours! It was a memorable experience, and we enjoyed being able to make a difference!
