GSO has been a top-tier Yellow Jersey Sponsor of the Ride for Hope since shortly after the Ride For Hope Bahamas was established as a registered charity in 2009. The 2017 Ride For Hope was held on the 18th of February and marked the 10th anniversary of the original event and a return to the island of Eleuthera where the Ride was first held in 2006.
In addition to our sponsorship of the RFH, members of the GSO team have been proud participants in the event as both riders and volunteers. This year was no exception as partner Bryan Glinton and his son Benjamin completed a grueling 50 miles over the hills and dales of one of the most beautiful islands in The Bahamas. Says Bryan; “The Ride For Hope has been one of the principal beneficiaries of our firm’s charitable and community-outreach efforts for some years now. We recognized early on the important work the RFH was doing and we remain committed to supporting that work.”
The Ride For Hope Bahamas has so far raised more than $3 Million for the Bahamas Hope Foundation (BHF), a charitable entity that channels resources to critical programs and initiatives in The Bahamas that enhance the treatment and care of persons battling cancer. The BHF also supports research into the causes of, and possible cures for the forms of cancer most prevalent in The Bahamas.
