On 1 April 2020, the Securities Commission of The Bahamas announced that the Prime Minister of The Bahamas granted a limited exemption from the “Work From Home” Order[1] to certain registrants and licensees of the Commission.
The exemption is limited to: (1) registrants under the Securities Industry Act, 2011; (2) investment fund administrators licensed under the Investment Funds Act, 2019; and (3) licensees under the Financial and Corporate Services Providers Act, 2000, and permits critical and essential staff to work from their respective offices, during the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and conduct urgent international business.
